Akal Academy Kakra Kalan is one of the most prestigious schools in Shahkot region founded in December 2011. It is a Private Institution run by THE KALGIDHAR TRUST, BARU SAHIB. The school started its first academic session in the year 2012 with just 70 students and now has nearly 400 students who are imparted value based education along with the CBSE curriculum. The School caters to rural population from 77 villages. The School is currently headed and run under the able leadership of Principal Ms. Santosh Kumari Gautam who has a vast experience of 22 years in the field of Education.

Akal Academy Kakra Kalan Jalandhar was established in December 2011 under the aegis of Baba Iqbal Singh Ji,President of The Kalgidhar Trust, Baru Sahib. It is a co-educational school based on CBSE curriculum.

The Music room has sufficient number of Harmoniums and Tablas of each child of a class coming for music classes.
